Coyote
Coyotes are very clever animals. they are members of the dog family. they will eat almost any and everything such as livestock, insects, grass, fruit, snakes, frogs, deer, rodents, rabbits, and fish. very good swimmers. Smaller than wolves. THEY ARE OMNIVORES.
Fox
Run up to 45 mph. they are carnivores. about the size of a large cat. they breed during the decenber and february. live all over north america. memebers of the dog family
Mountain Lions
also known as pumas, cougars, and catamounts. they eat deer, coyotes, porcupines, and raccoons. once roamed nearly all of the united states.
Blacktailed Deer
smaller than a mule deer and white-tailed deeer. found in pacific northwest such as, oregon, washongton, and british colombia. antlers are forked pairs like mule deer. they are herbivores.
California Quail
highly sociable bird. they have a curving crest or "plume" that droops forward. small flocks are known as "coveys". they prefer sunny places. all-year residents. females lay about 12 eggs. breed in shrubby areas and woodlands in western united states.
Bull Snake
also known as gopher snakes. no need to fear these snakes. they help keep down the vermin poplation. they also chase off rattle snakes. they are non venomous and would rather avoid confrontation they can still inflict a painful bite. their hiss can mimic that of an angry snake.
Monarch Butterflies
these butterflies do migrate. they are poisonous but its not harmful to humans just predators.
